Multi-Brain and Multi-Mind

Our Human Multi-Brains and Multi-Minds

A product of more than 500 million years of evolution!

The concepts of “Multi-Mind” and “Multi-Brain” (evolutionary brain parts, subconscious mind & conscious mind, left & right brains, internal sub-personalities, etc.) are crucial for Life Integration™ Coaching.

We have to first identify that we are “the many” (And not a monolithic Self at all!) to be able to manage those different parts and also to Integrate (not deny) those many parts into a harmonic entity.

Built like an onion layer over layer, we share older parts of the brain with the cod fish (from when life was in the oceans), and then we have a reptile brain, mammal brain (monkey brain), and finally a human brain. They all have their own operating systems. They work relatively independent from each other, as well as in coordination.

The reptile brain is the most powerful one; it is the one in charge of survival and automated subconscious functions of a human being. This “reptile brain” is for humans “a curse and a blessing” as it helps us survive, but under certain circumstances it kidnaps us and makes us do horrible things (from road rage to domestic abuse, all forms of abuse, to torture, war and Holocaust). We carry our worst enemy inside all the time! This is why Dr. Ojeda-Ebert’s training is called “The Enlightened Lizard” teaching how to manage your inner reptile and empower your conscious mindful life!

NOTE: The triune brain is a model of the evolution of the vertebrate forebrain and behavior, proposed by the American physician and neuroscientist Paul D. MacLean. MacLean originally formulated his model in the 1960s and propounded it at length in his 1990 book The Triune Brain in Evolution.[1] The triune brain consists of the reptilian complex, the paleo mammalian complex (limbic system), and the neomammalian complex (neocortex), viewed as structures sequentially added to the forebrain in the course of evolution. However, this hypothesis is no longer espoused by many comparative neuroscientists in the post-2000 era. Brain science has shown that evolutionary processes and brain development of the different species is way more complicated. Nevertheless, it is used as a very compelling and useful metaphor in Dr. Ojeda-Ebert's coaching.
Mens sana in corpore sano

The above Latin phrase is usually translated as "a sound mind in a sound body". It is widely used in sporting and educational contexts to express the theory that physical exercise is an important part of mental and psychological well-being. In Dr Ojeda-Ebert’s Life Integration Coaching approach it refers primordially to the need for an adequate nutrition on a cellular level to secure the health and well-being of the whole organism, the brain, nervous system as well as for the multi mind.

“I support a holistic approach to
Life Integration™ Coaching. Our bodies (including brain and nervous system) are like the hardware of a computer and our coaching interventions on multi-mind levels are the work on a software level. As those who work with computers, know, if the hardware has problems no new installed software will function properly! We need a healthy physical organism to be able to sustain improvements and development on a mental/mind level. Many years of practice and my own personal experience, have shown me that an adequate, complex and balanced nutrition on a cellular level is crucial.  And I am talking here about a) avoiding substances that have been scientifically proven to damage the organism and b) the intake of all the 60 minerals and 16 vitamins, as well as 12 amino-acids, and 2-3 essential fatty acids and probiotics, as well as other co-factors that constituted the essential 90 nutrients our body needs on a daily basis which contemporary industrially processed and packed “foods” are not providing us with.”
